Dr. Stacey Dobrinsky works at an independent mental health practice in Central Jersey, and previously put together and then for three years served as the Clinical Director at Harvard Medical School - Mclean Hospital's Child and Adolescent OCD Institute (known as OCD Jr). She has over the years treated scores of individuals and run many groups for the treatment of Panic Disorder, Specific Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Dr. Dobrinsky has access to and will share a wealth of information relevant to the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) of anxiety disorders in New Jersey.

November 5, 2018 “Understanding Trauma” Speaker: Peg Grandison, L.C.S.W., Clinical Administrator for the Rutgers UBHC Call Center (retired)

What is trauma and how does it affect our lives? Most people have some extreme stress in the course of their lives and how do they deal with it? Should they ignore it or address it? Does it matter if trauma happens in childhood or in adulthood? Are persons with major mental illnesses more vulnerable to traumatic events? We will explore these issues as well as our capacity for recovery and resilience and "post traumatic growth". We will also explore an updated approach to care labeled "trauma informed care". Hope we can come together to learn and share with each other in a safe, respectful and lively exchange!

 671 Hoes Lane West, Rm: C101, Piscataway – directions on back of flyer Thank you. Middlesex County IFSS
