Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a disorder of severe and persistent emotional dysregulation,which often is related to a number of problem behaviors including impulsivity, substance use,shoplifting, risky sexual behaviors, and intentional self-injury. These problems often disrupt familyand work, long-term planning and the individual’s sense of self-identity. The speakers will discuss thisoften misunderstood psychological disorder, some of the challenges associated withmanaging co-occurring mental health disorders, as well as effective treatment options.
